Wow, a whole month has passed since my last blog post. Where did the time go?!
Seriously, I blinked and bam(!) 30 days and nothing new on the BFM Thoughts Blog. I must say, I definitely have missed this space. As you know, I like to be in this space at least one to two times a week. So, you may be wondering, where’s she been? Let’s see…
First, I was blessed with a large client in town for the Democratic National Convention who had me working full-time in the weeks leading up to the event. And as soon as the convention started, I hit the road and went to the beach for a week over Labor Day! It was an incredibly relaxing and very fun week with four other couples. It was so great in fact, that I hope to make this an annual trip.
So that takes us through September 9, now what? Well I just have to blame it on the weather. Fall is officially here in North Carolina and I want nothing more than to be outside on walks, gardening, dining on the patio, reading magazines at the park and enjoying all the activities Charlotte has to offer. It’s truly delightful.
Oh, if you every find yourself stopping by and wondering what’s up, definitely visit Twitter or Instagram. I’m pretty active on both and would love to have you follow along.

Hello! How have you been?! I feel like I haven’t been in this space in a very long time!
It has been a very busy, fun few weeks. As I mentioned, I spent the past two weeks in Utah at a family reunion and then onto Montana to visit friends. If you don’t mind, this week in addition to the regular themed posts, I’d like to share a bit about my trip. It was the longest trip I’ve ever taken away from home and my first time experiencing Zion National Park and Bozeman, Montana. It was a perfect getaway! In the picture above, you can see an Instagram picture I took during our hike of The Narrows. Half of the hike was upstream and 90% of it was done in the river. Challenging for me, but one of my top 5 experiences in my life!
This weekend, we managed to get in two bike rides in, enjoy brunch and get a new dishwasher purchased. I’m actually pretty excited that it won’t sound like a train roaring through our kitchen when it runs! Hurricane Irene brought a pleasant breeze which made me want to spend Saturday outside. It was amazing how beautiful Charlotte was when destruction was being felt just a few hours east of us. I’m definitely thinking and praying for all those impacted.
I hope you’re feeling rested, rejuvenated and ready to start a new week!
Cheers to Monday!

Friends, I don’t think I mentioned it, but for the last two weeks I’ve been out of town in Salt Lake City, Zion National Park and Bozeman, Montana. I’ve had lots of amazing times and experiences that I can’t wait to share with you! But, unfortunately, work and home obligations piled up. :-/
So, instead of getting right back into blogging, I’m figuring out whether to replace or repair our dishwasher, why I don’t have DirecTV, making sure my blog hackers have disappeared(!), sifting through mail and getting back on track with clients.
If you really can’t stand to be away from me (!!!), you can follow me on Twitter where I’m still checking in. I’ll be back in this space on Monday.
