Mar 14Lovely New Stamps

I still send thank you notes, thinking of you cards and of course, the good old fashioned birthday card. Mostly, it’s because it’s proper etiquette. But a small part of me loves the notion of picking out a pretty stamp that brings a bit of beauty to the mailbox. Anyone out there feel the same? I went to the post office yesterday and surprisingly, they had a pretty great selection. Normally I’m limited to flags. I picked up a  few sheets of #1 and #2 and am excited to send letters out. What about you, are you a stamp junkie?

1- Seriously obsessed with the type. | 2- Ah… the ubiquitous love stamp. | 3- My home state done right. | 4- Cherry blossoms are one of my favorite things in the spring time. | 5- Modern art?! Yes, please. | 6- Pretty bonsai trees. | 7- Just a pretty bunch of flowers. | 8- Love the illustrations.

    Aug 20Loving…

Do you feel it? Fall is in the air. I took a walk this morning and it was 70 degrees. 70! It was glorious. I’m definitely ready for cardigans, jeans and gorgeous leather and my loving list is a reflection.

1- Animal prints–has there ever been a more appropriate print for fall? I’m all over this cardigan, perfect for early fall with the ¾ sleeve and light cotton. It’s definitely on my fall shopping list.

2- I’m having a moment with colbalt blue. Isn’t this notebook pretty?  It doesn’t matter that I have a million notebooks and don’t need another. A girl can still lust, right?

3- Have you ever purchased anything from Zara? All the stylish girls I know have things in their closet from this retailer. I haven’t broken out the AmEx yet, but might have to for this pretty lace blouse.

4- And yet again with the cobalt. Usually, I’m a black or brown kind of gal, but lately, they just seem so boring. I have a black bag that’s lined in black and my wallet is always lost. I’m very particular about my wallet and love the styling of this one.

Now that it’s warming up- the last few days not withstanding- I’m in the mood for beaches and vacations. I have the perfect carryon but really, I don’t have a great bag to carry around town with purchases, take to the beach with a towel, sunscreen, adult beverages, books- you know the usual and just generally be a solid bag. Enter this Longchamp. I saw my neighbor carrying it to the pool over the weekend and it’s perfect. Added to the wish list.

Could these be the perfect Chanel inspired flats? Quite possibly. And of course, a heck of a lot less expensive.

Sometimes an outfit needs a little more oomph but not quite a heel. Enter the wedge heel I plan to add to my wardrobe.

My favorite new letter tray, complete with slide out compartments.

I’m a huge paper and stationery fan. Seriously. I’ve got the monogramed cards and enough birthday, baby and blank just-because cards on hand that no special announcement will be missed!

So, it’s no surprise that the Letterpress Fest is right up my alley. AIGA Charlotte is presenting workshops, bringing nationally regarded speakers, screening movies and throwing some fantastic parties! Check out the line-up and register early! There’s definitely tons of fun to learn and expand creatively.

          Dec 14Loving…

I’m currently having a moment with Target as exhibited by the fact that I recently picked up this shirt after seeing my friend wear it in another pattern. (Or maybe it was the same pattern. Hmmm… now I’m not sure).

This shirt with plans to wear it with shorts on any upcoming warm weather vacation.

And these two cardigans because a girl simply cannot have too many, right?!

And finally, remember the 2012 calendar I loved a few weeks ago. Well, I couldn’t wait to cut it apart and put the artwork elsewhere. So I needed another one. Stat. Enter the watercolor wash calendar for less than $10 bucks. Bam!
